PRETTY PRETTY PICTURES FINALLY HERE! Party Edition:

Hilary: Attached is a photo of my husband and I at a wedding a few weeks ago. There is something about getting dressed up - since you don’t do it all that often - that makes you feel beautiful and elegant. This dress I am wearing reminds me of the ocean, and always makes me feel pretty and glamorous.

Annissa: This is me on the beach while camping. It was a moment of happiness and confidence and for some reason I wanted to be vain and take a photo of myself. Not just any part of myself, but the dreaded lower half. You know, the part of the body that strikes fear deep into my fat girl soul. And from below! I ended up really liking this photo, mostly because it’s breaking all the rules. There’s something empowering about being a headless fatty sometimes and there’s something very beautiful about how off-kilter and unkempt I look.

Renae: I’m on the right in this picture. It makes me happy whenever I stumble upon it because it reminds me of a great night at my friends party, she is on the left. All my friends were there and we were all dressed up and smiling the whole night. Plus, I love that dress.

Ashley: Even though most of my face is cut off it really shows a time where I am completely myself. It’s just me and my best friend being totally ourselves together and giggling over the dumbest thing while drinking wine that came from a box. Every time I look at this picture I remember how happy I was in that moment and how happy my best friend makes me and I can’t wait till she comes home (from Europe where she has been living for the past few years). I don’t care that I have multiple chins or that she is making a weird face—this picture to me is perfection!

Annie: Though blurry, this was a candid from a shoot about a month after I moved out of an unhealthy relationship, back in with my family. Struggling to see myself as I really was, and this was my first glance :) Finally started to believe I was beautiful, that I was worth more than what other led me to believe. I feel more confident and more in my skin as each day passes. but this was the start, a fun photo shoot with good friends.

Moving into

my new apartment tomorrow!!

So things are crazy again… haha. I am excited to get out on my own again.

Updated- I am starting to post my photographs on my other tumblr, for fun. Also to sell if your interested. So, far all I have are some self portraits up I took today, yes instead of packing haha. I just have fun editing them, and I have been really inspired by the blurry pictures I have been seeing in fashion magazines lately. So, yea you will see some of that.

Then there is my flickr too, for pictures from my travels! :}

OMG! I have 800 followers… Wow.

These are pictures I took of my best friend Krystle. I really like them, my camera did a good job. Her and I always just go out and take random pics, it was snowing out so I told her to get ready so I could take pics of her! I hope you like them, she is gorgeous.

Pretty Pretty Picture time!! (Halloween Theme!) BOO! (gotcha) I am starting to do this &#8220;Pretty Pretty Pictures&#8221; game, and I have done it once before. But I will explain it to all you new people! :) Basically what this includes is all of my followers (OK not all) will send me a photo of themselves when they felt pretty/sexy/handsome/confident. They write a little explaination on why they feel confident there, and I post them up on my blog! I miss him

I miss my boyfriend sooo freaking much. I don’t know what to do about it.

Sooo my solution? Think about things that make me happy (that don’t include him, because he is what makes me happy). I can do this.

spicycolleen: What’s your best confidence tip? We’re about the same size and I struggle with confidence.

To be completely honest with you Colleen, I had to sit back and think about what kind of tip I could give you. Confidence is a tricky thing, and it is all mental. I struggle with confidence still, there is always something I want to fix. So, I can’t give you a real answer without lying to you about “how great my confidence is” haha. But something I do: is wear something I feel beautiful in when I am in a low confidence day. So, not only do I feel like I look great, but everyone compliments my outfit! Always a good time. :} I hope that helps.

justspeakeasy: Where is your favorite place to buy plus sized clothing?

Not gonna lie, I love Target! It is all about your style, and which store you have around. I have never been inside a Torrid, but I hear its full of good stuff. Also, Lane Bryant isn’t bad, you just have to look for the cool (non old lady) stuff! :)

p.s. I usually don’t wear ‘plus sizes’… Even though I am a plus size model, I know this is a crazy world we live in. :(

ailina: What’s your absolute favorite accessory? Also, we all have “fat” days, what do you do to lift yourself out of that funk?

Ohhh good questions Ailina! My absolute favorite accessory would be big (light weight) earrings. I have always been into flashy earrings, but long layered beaded necklaces are fabulous right now. So the necklaces are my favorite this season. haha Got that? I can never make up my mind ;)

Oh the lovely “fat” days… Well, I just started doing yoga here in Ireland, and I tried it on a “fat” day, I felt so poise and muscular the rest of the day! So that is something I am on now, when in doubt do yoga! haha But also, just take some “me” time. “Me” time is when you just relax if only for a half an hour, drink some tea, read a book, shop, take a nap, take a bubble bath, etc. It is a great thing to do, and you feel better afterwords. :) I hope this helps.

fluffee: Wondering if Irish girls wear stockings and tights at all?

Oh fluffee, yes they wear a lot of stockings and tights, they are very in again this fall. EVERYONE is wearing them or leggings. And ladies, I have seen a lot of leggings as pants…. ah! SOOOO not my thing. But Fluffee you would probably enjoy that. ;)

Wow!

Hey Curvy Couture- I just wanted to say thanks for sharing such an awesome blog! It has really helped me come to terms with my curves and has given me a newfound confidence.

There was a period of time in my life where I felt like I couldn’t be girly or fashionable because I was “plus-sized.” It just seemed like there wasn’t any publicized evidence that curvy girls could be cute and fashionable- all you ever see in the fashion world is skinny twigs (even the scarce amount of plus-sized models get pushed to the background). Most of the time i’d wear the same thing: jeans, t-shirt, flip-flops, blahblahblah… (don’t get me wrong, I love to rock the jeans and t-shirt look, but after wearing it everyday, all I wanted was a cute girly DRESS!)

Luckily, that is changing, and I’m really glad I found your blog. You give such great advice and your posts are really inspiring. I’m always getting ideas about new flattering styles to try out! I look forward to seeing your posts every day :)

Wow, thank you so much. I am trying really hard to help and it is awesome to know that I am helping!?! haha.
I have never had a blog before so it is hard for me to know what I want to post and how I want to post it.

I know that feeling, that’s why I told myself why the F*** not?? Why can’t curvy girls be fashionable?? We have every right as anyone else!! lol, gosh ok deep breaths. And I think our bodies look fabulous in clothes, we just have a hard time knowing what looks fabulous on us. I am also to blame…

But in all seriousness, you have inspired me to keep going, and try harder! If you ever have any suggestions I am completely open to them! :)

Holy Crap Followers!

Since when did I get 98 followers?!?!?!

Oh my goodness. You are amazing, I really appreciate all of your answers to my posts. And I read them all!! :) It is interesting how different all of you answer. It really goes to show that everyone has different tastes in women! And that is fabulous. :)
