GUESS WHO GOT A MODELING JOB?!?!?!?!!!!! ME! haha :) Yay n’ stufffff. It is through my agency which is a huge stunner, because I thought they hated me. It is a “informal modeling” job haha that’s all I know. Therefore I googled what informal modeling means, apparently its:

A type of modeling in which the model circulates among consumers and customers and answers questions about the garment or accessories that he/she is modeling.

I think that sounds pretty damn fun! :) haha. I am just used to fashion shows and shoots, its interesting how many terms there are… I found this site helpful!

So, that is really great. I hope that this is a start for me! :) Watch out fashion world, here I come! ;)

Oh yea, did I tell you who this “informal modeling” gig is for? SAKS!!!! (Salon Z)

Don’t worry I will tell you allllllll about it, it isn’t until April 3rd! So therefore I will probably go tanning a little bit, get a mani/pedi, and work out! haha Pressure is onnnnnn!

I have always issues with stretch marks. I'm not even really big, im just curvy. Last year I gained weight and got them on my stomach pretty bad. Now that i'm losing more weight and i'm going to start modeling soon I'm still very self conscious. I was wondering if you have ever had problems with stretch marks?

I do have stretch marks on my thighs. I am not a big fan about them being on my body, but as far as having problems with modeling, I haven’t had any issues.

1st: Because I haven’t really done a lot of work where you can actually see them. 2nd: The photographers I work with know how to edit them out. Hell, even I do! But it is never anything to worry about, even super thin girls have stretchmarks or cellulite. It happens. :D

Yesterday was basically the best day ever! My last midterm was easy, it was friday, and the first day of spring break!!! LOVE IT!

I ended up drinking a bit too much, but water and some waffles cured that so I went to bed without the spins!! :D YAY! haha

Funny thing is I am going out tonight also, my friend is turning I think 27? I know I am cool, I have older friends. ;) But she is getting a limo to a club and we are getting bottle service like classy ladies!! :) HOPEFULLY I won’t drink too much tonight. I’m not used to all of this partying! It’s fun, but exhausting!

Any good plans for the rest of this weekend?

So. I made a dress last year, took all of these photos and then left for Ireland. I completely forgot about the dress, until I was going through my closet the other day!

So, I am wearing it to work tomorrow! But I also took pictures as I was making it that I STILL HAVE!!

I am a self-taught sewer, so I really don’t know what I am doing. Just sort of feeling it out. I have used patterns before, but I didn’t for this or most of my previous projects.

I made this dress out of a vintage sheet I found in a thrift store. I fell in love with the pattern, and decided to make something out of it. Found a tank top at forever 21 for $2 which would be way too short for my torso and turned these two items into a fabulous tank dress!

The cool thing about sheets is that they already have a lot of the sewing done for you, I just cut the sheet after I fitted it to my hips. I added extra room because I wanted it to be a comfy dress that I could dress up or dress down.

Something I did learn from this is that next time I make a dress like this I will put the elastic in the skirt AFTER I sew it on to the tank. I got ahead of myself and put the elastic in first before attaching the tank, and it was a lot more challenging to sew. I did it by hand, and that takes FOREVERRRRR. lol.

But I love how it turned out and will take a photo of me in it tomorrow!

I also got a new necklace from ModCloth.com! Because I have been really into B&W film photography as of the past year or so. :}

I really like wearing florals in the winter, I think it cheers people up. Winter can be so depressing sometimes!! :D
