Happy Monday!

This weekend was so good! Kevin and I cooked, hiked, and relaxed all weekend, it was really great. Now, I am at work feeling refreshed and back to the daily grind!

I really love this color red, it is so rich and lovely. I paired it with this amazing sweater that I had to get because I saw The Glamourai in it. She really sold me on it.

Have a great week everyone! <3

Happy Friday!

This is my week in photographs! :) I had a really good week, which will hopefully set off into a productive weekend. I started a new sewing project which is great, I will probably be instagramming as I go, so stay tuned. Don’t have instagram? Check this out for my feed.

See you Monday! <3

How was your week??

Happy THURSDAY!

I hope everyone is doing well, I am really good! I look like a slob at work today, so I figured I would share some of my outfit photos that I took for my job

I must admit, I am very lucky to be able to order anything from the site to model it for ModCloth customers, and share it with you all! :) Outfit photos are a part of my job which is why my blog has really transformed into a outfit blog. I hope you guys like the transformation. :D

ANYWAYS, here is what I am wearing in each picture:

#1: Swing Dance Sweetheart Dress, Heart-ly Contain Myself Cardigan, My Bouquet List Heel, Tights for Every Occasion in Black, Leaf it to Me Bracelet

#2: Fancy Dancey Dress, Today’s News Heel in Black

#3: Mulling Spices Dress, Upstate Drive Bag, Hipper than Hypnotize Necklace, Roam on the Range Boot

#4: Embrace It Cardigan, Fair and Lemon Square Dress, Trim the Twee Boot

My favorite is either #1 or #4. :)

Which outfit do you like the best??

Hey everyone!

I have been feeling pretty ballsy in what I wear this week (if you couldn’t tell). This outfit reminds me of high school. I was obsessed with black/white/red combinations, during my “punk” phase. Good times.

Anyways I almost wore this exact outfit a little over a year ago here, but I added the knee high socks, the skirt underneath, and the crazy scarf. I really like how put-together I look here. This dress has been getting shorter and shorter, so I put a black skirt under it for some extra length. :) I also cannot seem to get enough of this scarf by Sheila Frank.

What do you think of this color combo?

Hey everyone!

I did not feel like dressing up, so I wore this. I was going to pair it with black pants, but I figured “why not”??! So, these beaut’s are my purple people eater pants, for a little splash of color, on my dark/black streak I am on right now.

The photographic print on this top really makes me swoon. I am so in love with the idea of putting photos on clothes! So, I had to get my hands on this.

Yesterday, I was literally rolling the windows down it was so nice out! We have had the weirdest winter ever, but I am not complaining at all. ;)

What is your go-to casual outfit?

Happy Monday!

I had a fantastic weekend. I got so much sleep, but I am still tired. This is the outfit I wore Friday. I am not sure what else to say about it, other than I really like the textures. I got this amazing off-shoulder velvet crop top from Miskabelle vintage forever ago, and I finally found the right outfit it belongs in. :) Also, this scarf from Sheila Frank is fantastic, and warm! :)

It is Monday, and it definitely feels like a Monday. But I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! :)

Hey friends!

It has been a productive week in my life which is awesome. I have decided that I am not going to be a blogger who has a crap ton of ads, or posts about random things that have no meaning for me. I am going to stick to brands who I believe in and hopefully work with more of them. :)

I have been e-mailing the crap out of people to collaborate with so that’s fun. I was also thinking about taking some serious sewing classes. I know a decent amount about sewing, but I want to learn more about structure and grading.

How has your week been so far??

I just wanted to say that I am working on changing my blog name. I started this blog to work my way into the modeling industry (other than Pittsburgh’s). And, well that didn’t really work. So, I feel a bit like a poser calling myself this. It made sense when I started, but now I only model for ModCloth.com.

Do you know why I decided to (kinda) give up pursuing modeling? I am WAY too opinionated. I want to tell companies what they are doing wrong, and what they should be carrying instead of the lame items they have at that moment. If you want to pursue modeling, one of the first things they tell you is to keep your mouth shut.

Well behaved women rarely make history right? I kind of live by that quote…

I am not saying the modeling world is bad, I still really enjoy expressing myself through modeling, but not really for big companies (unless they find me magically). I just quit my Pittsburgh agency. I think the world might have more for me than modeling. Well, I guess we shall see. Come with me will you?

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you are all having fantastic weeks so far.

Lately I have been doing a lot of soul searching, and I feel the urge to design more and more. Unfortunately, I will probably not be able to afford to sell anything for a while. I know I suck, I got you all excited about my line/dress and now it isn’t going to happen (for now). Unfortunately, I am not the best seamstress and a real seamstress costed more than I could afford so I am kind of in an awkward stage. For now, I am going to keep designing and continue sewing and show you guys what I come up with. :)

But this outfit I created nothing, except I did cut my own bangs… ;) That’s something right!?

P.S. When I was young girl I shopped at maurices a lot. They always had jeans that fit me well, and they had cool affordable stuff. I am not sure if you have heard of maurices, seeing how they were in my small town in Michigan, but they have this awesome modeling contest going on! Watch these videos of previous winners, here and here. Submit yourself here. You do not have to be a experienced model to enter, so good luck lovelies! :)

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I had a really good time, slept in really late both Saturday and Sunday, had avocado on toast for breakfast, got my car fixed (ugh), saw Mission Impossible (AWESOME!), went on a sushi date with my love, and a few other things. :)

But now it is Monday, and I am back to a schedule. It surprisingly feels good to be. :} I am sipping coffee and writing a to-do list as we speak!

This outfit isn’t too exciting, other than most of it is thrifted! My skirt got super wrinkly when I was sitting so it looks kinda bad… :/ However, the brown and black bracelet is my new favorite thing. <3

Have a great week everyone!

P.S. This is my favorite dress ModCloth is yet to carry in Plus sizes!! I am modeling it too! Keep in mind its short on me because I am 5’11! <3

Hey everyone!

IT IS FINALLY FRIDAY! Thank goodness. I cannot tell you how glad I am, this week was the longest week ever. Sometimes when the going gets tough, I have to remember how many awesome things I have coming up. Such as NYC for NYFW in February! It will be freezing, but well worth it! I am so ready for some inspiration in my life!

Anyways, these pictures are from this week, click on them for little thoughts. :) If you want to see more of my pics either follow me on instagram (thecurvymodel), or just look at them here. <3

Random thing about me: I have been constantly listening to 80’s lately. Which is awesome because it pumps me up to clean things and get stuff done… Exciting huh? Oh, my life is so thrilling sometimes.

I hope you all have an awesome weekend.

<3 Mandy

P.S. Did you see these Plus Model Magazine photos? I love what they stand for, also the last one makes me giggle. :D

Happy Thursday!

I work from home today so I am cozy and comfy in pjs as we speak! Which is awesome.

But anyways, I really like this skirt it is so fun to move in. I also, really like how blown out the background is, it makes me stand out a lot on my own. Which is really interesting looking.

I hope you dig it!

<3 you all!

P.S. Kate Winslet says talks a bit about body image here. I really love her, always have, always will. Thoughts?

Hey everyone!

It is Wednesday which is awesome (two more days til the weekend). Apparently this week all I care about is the weekend. It’s just one of those weeks!

Anyways black seems to be my go-to lately. I think its just really easy to coordinate, and I really like it with my new hair! :D This dress is so cozy and fun at the same time, but I totally look like I am in jail. lol Oh well.

This scarf was a gift from my BFF designer Sheila Frank (I also modeled her swimwear). I really like how light this scarf is, and it adds a little amount of edge that I am really into. :)

This dress makes me want to spin, and this color combo makes me smile. I am a crazy obsessor over bold colors, but also really love black, kinda weird right? Well, my style is constantly changing and I think this really shows on my blog. ;)

I hope you dig this outfit, it has all of my favorite colors in it. I am already begging for the weekend. BLAH, but I have been dressing up almost every day for the past two weeks for work! Wahoooo! I hope you guys are enjoying the crazy amounts of outfits here on the blog! :P

Have a good Tuesday!!

P.S. Really loved reading this interview with Tim Gunn yesterday! I hope he starts a line, it would be epic. What do you think about it??

Happy Monday!!

I had suchhhh an amazing weekend, I really didn’t want it to end. I got to thrift with this lovely lady, I got to just relax and get ready for the week!

Yes, this is a corset. Very different than my typical outfit post, but I reallllly love corsets and, well, structure in general. I especially love this corset because its reversible! There is this awesome caramel color, but on the other side is an olive tone! I have worn this out a few times, once under a super sheer top, and another with a shirt underneath! :D Super fun, and saucy!

The only problem I had with it was that the boning in the chest was a bit too big for my bust, I am a very small B cup so yea, it happens. ;) And still really like this piece and wear it often.

How do you feel about wearing underwear visibly?

P.S. This girl really inspired me to wear a corset in an outfit, she does it with bras all the time. ;}
